Black History Month Celebration

Black History Month Celebration

Extra, extra, read all about it, BMSS students have done it again! February 20th, our students showed their talents and skills at our Annual Black History Program! They danced gracefully, sang inspirationally, read poetically and acted as if the great heroes were here themselves! What made this event even more special, was our special guest appearance by the Muhammad Ali's former wife, Mrs. Khalilah Ali. Mrs. Ali, won over the students with her charismatic speech. Thank you, Mrs. Ali, it was truly an honor to have met you! You are now an honorary member of the BMSS family. A special thanks goes out to the students, parents and staff who made this night one for the record books. Each year, it gets better and better! If you're interested and want to be a part of our next event, get connected, and call our offices Monday - Friday from 9am to 3 pm.

Fall Festival

Fall Festival

BMSS has a fun filled fall festival in October every year. The children dress up as their favorite storybook character and parade in a decorated cafeteria for parents and other peers to enjoy. Along with the parade, the children have entertaining activities such as; ring toss, duck game, bean bag throw, and more. At the end, the students enjoy a little bag of goodies. We cannot wait for the next one!

Eighth Grade Graduation

Eighth Grade Graduation

The Commencement ceremony of 2020 was definitely a memorable event. Our wonderful staff planned a beautiful ceremony for our 8th grade graduates and their families on June 13, 2020 on campus with Zoom live streaming. The families, students and staff practiced social distancing while celebrating each student's achievement. We were honored by Mayor Tommy Ruzzano who addressed the students and families during the ceremony. We were also honored with the presence of the Margate Police and Fire Department who brought the extra excitement with their sirens and treats for the graduates. It was a successful and exciting morning for all involved.
